Celebrity Cars

What exactly is a celebrity car? It's just like your car, except a celebrity is at the wheel (or in the back seat). Who cares? Well, auctioneers such as Barrett Jackson do. It seems that celebrity cars can bring premiums ranging from $10K to $50K over market price. The most popular celebrity cars are the usual suspects: Mercedes, Range Rover, Lexus, Bentley, etc. Top names also go for Aston Martin, Ferrari and Rolls Royce. Let's be clear, we are talking about celebrities, not talent - Kim Kardashian, Paris Hilton, Ashton Kutcher and the like. For all you struggling, talented actors out there, take some pride in the used Celica you found among Rockland County cars for sale. No one will mistake you for an airhead celebrity. So let's see who is driving what: - Travis Barker drives his kids around LA in a green Cadillac Escalade. Guess the high price of gas doesn't bother Travis, eh? - Derrick Rose of basketball fame had an accident in which his Bentley Mulsanne was rear-ended on the Kennedy Expressway in Chicago. He emerged unscathed but the car was totaled. All those wasted classic car accessories!! - Houston's Carlos Lee drives a flashy Ferrari California. He likes to drive around with his wife and two kids in tow. Nice play, Carlos! - Fabulous BBC Radio producer Chris Evans is so cool, he parks his Maserati MC12 right on the street, like it was a Sentra or something. But Chris could drive one of his cars for 50 days straight without driving the same car twice. One of them, a 1963 Ferrari 250 GTO cost Chris 12 million pounds. Hope you like it, Chris, because that much money could feed a whole lot of starving people. - Simon Cowell loves to drive his Ferrari 458 Italia. It's black and fantastic. Warning to young boys: if a man in a fancy car stops and asks you to get in, keep walking. - He may be better in bed than he is on the greens, but Tiger Woods definitely has an eye for fine cars. His current favorite, a black Mercedes-Benz S65. Watch where you drive, Tiger! - Rob Drydek just tricked out his 1969 Camaro. He changed the paint color and the graphics. Pretty impressive, huh? - Ben Baller drives a Prius. But if you look in his garage, you'll find a pack of real cars. Hey, concern for the environment only goes so far!
